This trip begins from the Bike Arenal office, where we will leave for approximately 20 km round trip on different terrain. The walks pass through small communities, farmland, the forest and with an end at the Arenal River (time for a swim), where there will be a picnic with fresh fruit, grain bars, and drinks. The Arenal River flows from the Arenal Lake and is one of the main tributaries of the San Carlos River. Where we stop for a snack is a beautiful little beach with the perfect place to swim and cool off. As an additional, you can climb the “Cuesta de la Bestia (Beast Hill) before returning to La Fortuna.

We had a wonderful time on this mountain bike ride. It involved some paved roads and the majority dirt roads away from cars. Parts of the road were a little bumpy, but the scenery was excellent.
